“We have heard the baseless cries of ‘you are going to kill someone’ way too often. I take this as a serious personal insult.— Deceased OceanGate CEO Stockton Rush

Wealthy bros and their super-duperpowers…look out.

Really. I’m not kidding.

Look the fuck out.

Dudebros rub their braincells together concocting get-rich-quick schemes, then stuff breaks. Sooner or later, governments need to rescue the ones whose goal is to cut government down to the size where they can drown it in a bathtub.

The Great Recession and the Titan sub tragedy have two things in common: negligence and unchecked, overprivileged egos.

I know what can help the situation: a tax increase on the fellas who smirk when they preach about the greatness of trickle-down economics.

They got too many dollars and too little sense.

(Skimping on parts for a deepwater submarine sounds nonsensical to me, but I’m not a billionaire so I can’t say for certain.)

When I look at the USA’s problems in the summer of 2023, the threats we pose to the world aren’t anything like a nuclear war but instead a potential catastrophe along the lines of a Chernobyl, only on a larger scale. Like the Titan sub, the Chernobyl nuclear reactor was built on the cheap. The leaders in both cases could have prevented their disasters by investing more money into the development and construction stages. But they didn’t because short-term gains won out over long-term success.

Lots of dudebros like the now-dead Stockton Rush are in positions of power. They enjoy low tax rates and a government controlled by their country club buddies. A pandemic hit and they took the lion’s share of the PPP funds. Bridges like I-95 are falling down because of the “small government” crowd that uses those bridges just like the rest of us. Lately, their monopolies help price-gouge consumers in order to bring in record profits — and a monopolized corporate media spins it as “inflation.” On top of it all, their beloved stock market feeds their gambling addictions.

Call me crazy, but I think the upper crust’s souls are crying out for a tax increase.

They know they’re scamming the masses.

Moronic, six-figure “experiences” like the Titanic voyage are a symptom. Let’s raise their taxes and cure their disease.

I write fiction and have two dark comedies available, Fearkiller (Volume 1) and Notes from Trillionaire Island: Fearkiller (Volume 2), as well as Revolutionizer Alpha, the first book in a sci-fi series. I also wrote a story about God. It was weird, but then I decided to make the story and its sequel free. And all of the sudden, it didn’t seem as weird. Writing about God is much less weird when you write about God without charging money for it.
